Both
the gites are very large, cool and airy - 'more like
a house than a gite'.
They have modern facilities but have been
carefully renovated to keep
the French style and feel. The gardens and grounds
of the chateau extend to 25 acres,
with hundreds of magnificent trees,
shrubs and flowering plants, and support an amazing variety of birds
and wildlife.
There are excellent facilities for many sports
and interests - the lake is well stocked
with coarse fish, including some
huge carp and is very lightly fished.
The 8m circular
pool is an enclosed secure area and has solar heating.
Bicycles are available
to hire.
Children can have adventures all day long -
playing badminton, boule, table tennis, or croquet on the lawn,
tennis on our hard tennis court.
Younger ones can enjoy the play area and sandpit!
We
ask guests not to smoke in the gites, nor do we allow pets.
The
Gatehouse stands close to the lake abounding with fish and wildlife,
with a boat moored at the waters edge to take you on a gentle row to the folly.
It has three double bedrooms (two ensuite), a twin bedroom, and a separate large
luxury bathroom. The kitchen is all electric with microwave,
washing machine, dishwasher and fridge freezer. The salon has an open fire and glazed
doors leading out to the lawn and terrace, with satellite UK TV, DVD, video and a CD stereo system.
A 6.4m diameter solar heated octagonal swimming pool is alongside the
terrace for your private enjoyment. |

La Petite Maison
looks out over the solar heated 8m diameter swimming pool set in a lawn
with trees that are centuries old, to the hills and beyond.
It has three
large double bedrooms and a large twin bedroom, each with antique wash
basin and bidet. There are two bathrooms, one with a large bath. The fully fitted kitchen
with microwave, washing machine, dishwasher and fridge freezer ajoins a separate dining
room.
The kitchen has French windows leading out to the lawn, as does
the salon with satellite UK TV, DVD, video and CD stereo system. |

Each
gite has a barbecue area , with table and chairs for eating and relaxing.
There
are many seating areas around the grounds and sun loungers alongside
the pool. You can always find an idyllic spot in sun or shade to spend
a lazy afternoon.
For the more energetic there is a riding school nearby, tennis courts and canoeing
on the Vienne. There is a lovely uncrowded golf course 20 minutes away at St Junien.
